Mastering advanced movement is key to outmaneuvering opponents and surviving intense firefights. Beyond basic sliding and climbing, techniques like wall-bouncing, tap-strafing, and supergliding can give you a significant edge. Practice these in the Firing Range until they become second nature.
Wall Bouncing:
- How: Sprint towards a wall, slide into it, jump, and then immediately jump again as you hit the wall.
- Purpose: Gain momentum, change direction quickly, and make yourself a harder target.
- Tips: Works best on smooth, vertical surfaces. Timing is crucial.
Tap Strafing (PC Only):
- How: While in the air (e.g., after a jump or slide jump), rapidly tap your forward movement key (W) while simultaneously moving your mouse left or right.
- Purpose: Make sharp, sudden turns in the air, allowing for advanced evasive maneuvers or surprising enemies.
- Tips: Requires practice to get the rhythm right. Can be used to quickly change direction after a grapple or jump pad.
Supergliding:
- How: As you reach the peak of a climb animation (just before your character stands up), simultaneously press jump and crouch.
- Purpose: Launch yourself forward with incredible speed, often surprising enemies.
- Tips: Extremely precise timing required. Practice on various ledges in the Firing Range.
Zipline Superjump:
- How: While on a zipline, press the interact button (E on PC) and then immediately jump.
- Purpose: Launch yourself high into the air from a zipline, allowing for quick vertical repositioning.
- Tips: Useful for gaining high ground quickly or escaping a dangerous situation on a zipline.
