Following the dramatic events of Memory 02, Ezio finds himself in a precarious situation. The Borgia, ever opportunistic, have seized control of Forlì and are now holding Caterina Sforza's children hostage. This memory is a tense rescue mission where stealth and precision will be your greatest assets. Prepare for a more challenging encounter than the previous memory, as the Borgia forces are numerous and vigilant.

Your primary objective is to infiltrate the heavily guarded fortress where the children are being held and extract them safely. This will require navigating rooftops, using your Eagle Vision to identify key targets and patrol routes, and engaging in combat only when absolutely necessary. Remember, the lives of innocent children depend on your skill and discretion.

  1. Infiltrate the Fortress: Approach the fortress from the north-western side. There's a less guarded section of the wall that you can scale. Use your Eagle Vision to spot patrol routes and guard positions.
  2. Locate the Children: Once inside, head towards the central keep. The children are being held in a room on the second floor. There will be several guards patrolling the corridors leading to their location.
  3. Neutralize Key Guards: Prioritize silent takedowns of any guards blocking your path or those who have a clear line of sight to the children's room. Use throwing knives or your hidden blade for discreet eliminations.
  4. Rescue the Children: Interact with the children to free them. Be prepared for an immediate alert once they are freed.
  5. Escort and Escape: Lead the children to the designated escape point, which will be marked on your mini-map. You'll need to fight your way out, or, if possible, use the rooftops to avoid direct confrontation. Consider using smoke bombs to disorient pursuers if you get overwhelmed.

Tip: Before initiating the rescue, consider scouting the area around the children's room to identify potential escape routes and choke points. Clearing a path beforehand can make the escort phase significantly easier.
