Synchronization Point Rewards

Synchronization Points are your key to unlocking the vast and ancient world of Egypt in Assassin's Creed Origins. Beyond simply revealing portions of the map, each successful synchronization offers valuable experience points, a breathtaking vista, and perhaps most importantly, new fast travel locations. Mastering the art of synchronization is crucial for efficient exploration and progression.

Finding Synchronization Points

Synchronization Points are typically found atop prominent landmarks, such as towering statues, ancient ruins, or high cliffs. To locate them:

  1. Utilize Senu: Your eagle companion, Senu, is indispensable for scouting. Fly Senu high above an unexplored area. Synchronization Points will appear as distinct eagle icons on your compass and map.
  2. Observe the Environment: Keep an eye out for unusually tall structures or natural formations as you traverse the landscape. If it looks like a good vantage point, it likely is!
  3. Consult Your Map: As you uncover more of the map, previously hidden Synchronization Point icons will become visible, even if Senu hasn't directly tagged them.

The Synchronization Process

Once you've reached a Synchronization Point:

  1. Ascend to the Apex: Climb to the very highest point of the structure or cliff. Look for ledges, handholds, and ropes to assist your ascent.
  2. Initiate Synchronization: At the peak, you'll see a prompt to "Synchronize." Press the indicated button to begin the iconic eagle dive.
  3. Enjoy the View: A short cinematic will play, showcasing the surrounding region and revealing new points of interest on your map.

Rewards and Benefits

  • Experience Points (XP): Each synchronization grants a significant boost of XP, helping Bayek level up and unlock new abilities. This is an excellent way to gain experience early in the game.
  • Map Revelation: Synchronizing a point expands the visible area on your map, revealing previously obscured terrain, roads, and some points of interest.
  • Fast Travel: This is arguably the most crucial reward. Every synchronized point becomes a fast travel destination. This allows you to instantly warp across Egypt, saving immense amounts of travel time, especially when revisiting regions for quests or collectibles.
  • Eagle Vision Enhancement: While not a direct reward, synchronizing points enhances Senu's "Perception" ability, allowing her to tag enemies and points of interest from a greater distance and with more detail.

Strategic Synchronization

While you can synchronize points at your leisure, a strategic approach can greatly benefit your playthrough:

  • Prioritize New Regions: Upon entering a new Nome (region), make it a priority to synchronize at least one point. This immediately unlocks fast travel into that area, making future visits much quicker. For example, in Siwa, synchronizing the points early will make navigating the starting area much easier.
  • Clear Outposts First: Sometimes, Synchronization Points are located within enemy-controlled areas or near hostile camps. Consider clearing out the immediate threats before attempting to synchronize to avoid interruptions.
  • Utilize for Quest Navigation: If a quest takes you to a distant location, check your map for nearby synchronized points. Fast traveling to the closest one will significantly reduce your journey.
  • Complete All Synchronizations: Aim to synchronize all 58 points across Egypt. This not only grants you maximum fast travel flexibility but also contributes to overall game completion. Some regions, like Libue, Great Sand Sea, White Desert, Black Desert, Qattara Desert, and Desheret Desert, have zero synchronization points, so don't waste time searching there! Focus on regions like Green Mountains (4 points), Lake Mareotis (4 points), and Herakleion Nome (4 points) for maximum efficiency.
