Wyll will reveal that the woman in his thoughts is Karlach, an archdevil's soldier he swore to kill. He tracked her to the mind flayer ship but was infected before he could finish her. He expresses concern about her preying on innocents. You can choose to join forces with Wyll to hunt Karlach, which may lead to Lae'zel's disapproval, or suggest she shelter at your camp.

When discussing Karlach with Wyll, your dialogue options are:

  1. Who is she?
  2. Hunting in the Hells. Dangerous territory.
  3. Cavorting with devils, I see. You should consider better company.

Wyll will then identify Karlach as an archdevil's soldier he is hunting. He explains he was infected by the mind flayer before he could kill her. Your next set of choices regarding Karlach are:
