Objective: Defeat Ao Bing, the Serpent King.
At the heart of the sunken temple, you confront Ao Bing, a powerful dragon-like demon. This fight takes place in a large, partially flooded arena.
Phase 1: Aquatic Dominance
- Water Jet: Ao Bing will fire a powerful stream of water. Dodge sideways.
- Tail Swipe: A wide, sweeping attack with his tail. Can be parried if timed perfectly, but dodging is safer.
- Dive & Ambush: He'll dive underwater and emerge quickly with a biting attack. Watch for ripples in the water to predict his emergence.
- Summon Serpents: Occasionally summons smaller Swamp Serpents to distract you. Deal with them quickly to avoid being overwhelmed.
Phase 2: Enraged & Aerial (Below 50% HP)
Ao Bing will become more aggressive and frequently take to the air.
- Water Spout: Creates several geysers that erupt from the water. Move constantly to avoid them.
- Dive Bomb: From the air, he'll dive directly at you. A well-timed dodge is crucial.
- Ice Shards: Fires a volley of ice shards from the air. Block or dodge.
- Lightning Breath: A powerful, arcing lightning attack. This is usually telegraphed by a charge-up animation. Get behind cover or dodge far away.
Strategy: In Phase 1, focus on dodging his water attacks and getting hits in after his tail swipes or dive ambushes. Use your 'Staff Extension' to hit him from a safer distance. In Phase 2, the fight becomes more aerial. Use the pillars in the arena for cover against his ranged attacks. When he dives, punish him with heavy attacks. Consider using a transformation if you have one available to quickly burst him down in this phase. His lightning breath is his most dangerous attack; prioritize avoiding it.
Reward: 'Dragon Scale' (Crafting Material), 1000 Essence, unlocks 'Cloud Somersault' magic skill.
