Multiplayer Strategies — Blackfrost: The Long Dark II Guide

Blackfrost: The Long Dark II multiplayer tips. Utilize Boss's Encampment for hunting and Forgotten Exploration for Coal and Scrap Metal for team survival.

When strategizing in multiplayer, consider the unique attributes of various locations within the Zone of Contamination. Boss's Encampment, though lacking immediate shelter, offers nearby wildlife like Ptarmigans and Rabbits, and a Warm Cave (Scaffolder's Hideout) is a short walk away. Forgotten Exploration, a warm mine between Turbulent Pasture and Harrowed Residence, provides valuable resources such as Coal, Scrap Metal, Lockers, and Reclaimed Wood, with a potential Emergency Kit spawn.

Key Locations for Multiplayer Strategy

  • Boss's Encampment: Located high in the mountains near Idle Camp in the Zone of Contamination. This settlement features 3 ruined buildings and an intact shed. While direct shelter is limited, the nearby Scaffolder's Hideout (a Warm Cave) offers refuge across a wooden bridge. Ptarmigans and Rabbits spawn here, providing a source of food. Loot can be found in containers within the ruined buildings. A vista location overlooking the railroad is also present.
  • Forgotten Exploration: Situated in the Zone of Contamination, between Turbulent Pasture and Harrowed Residence. This mine boasts a very warm interior, making it an excellent outdoor resting spot if a Bedroll is carried. Resources like Coal, Scrap Metal, Lockers, and Reclaimed Wood are abundant. An Emergency Kit may be found in the easternmost section of the mine, in a large room with a single column, accessible after climbing scaffolding.
