After acquiring the Holy Symbol and exploring the chapel, you'll encounter the Hippogryph boss. This fight takes place in a large, open chamber.

Strategy:

  • The Hippogryph is a large, winged beast that flies around the room, swooping down to attack and occasionally breathing fire.
  • Stay mobile and try to get underneath it when it's flying high. Use your double jump and Bat form to get in aerial attacks.
  • When it swoops down, backdash to avoid its charge. Its fire breath attack can be dodged by moving to the opposite side of the screen or by using the Bat form to fly over it.
  • Holy Water or the Cross sub-weapons are effective here, especially if you can land multiple hits.

Reward: Defeating the Hippogryph opens the path to the Castle Keep.
