Units are the backbone of your empire, performing various tasks from exploration and resource improvement to combat and city defense. Civilian Units include the Explorer, used for uncovering the map and performing Expeditions, and the Worker, essential for improving tiles and building infrastructure. Protecting these units is crucial, as their loss can significantly slow your development. Military Units are categorized by their role: Melee (Soldier, Marine), Ranged (Gunner, Artillery), Mounted (Buggy, Tank), and Air (Fighter, Bomber). Each unit type has strengths and weaknesses against others. As you progress through Affinities, your military units gain powerful upgrades, transforming them into specialized forces. For example, a Purity Marine gains increased combat strength, while a Harmony Marine might gain Miasma immunity. Always aim to upgrade your units as soon as new Affinity levels are reached to maintain a combat advantage.
