What Carries Over?

  • Nanosuit Upgrades: All Nanosuit Modules you unlocked and equipped during your initial playthrough will be available from the start. This includes powerful abilities like "Threat Tagging," "Cloak Tracking," and "Armor Enhance."
  • Weapon Attachments: Any weapon attachments you found and unlocked, such as the "Suppressor," "Laser Sight," or various scopes, will be accessible for compatible weapons.
  • Datapads and Collectibles: While you'll need to re-collect them for achievement purposes if you're aiming for 100%, your previous progress on finding these items is generally tracked. However, for a true completionist run, treat them as new.
  • Weapon Proficiency: Your accumulated experience with various weapons will carry over, allowing you to quickly unlock their full potential.

Recommended Strategies for New Game+

Early Game Dominance (Chapters 1-3)

With a fully upgraded Nanosuit, the initial chapters become significantly easier. Focus on efficiency and experimentation.

  • Chapter 1: Post-Human:
    • Stealth Approach: Immediately use your fully upgraded Cloak. In the opening sequence, instead of engaging the CELL patrols head-on, use your enhanced stealth to bypass them or perform silent takedowns. Look for the DSG-1 Sniper Rifle early on in the first open area to make quick work of distant CELL operatives.
    • Energy Management: With improved energy regeneration, you can maintain Cloak for longer periods. Use this to your advantage to scout ahead and plan your attacks.
    • Ceph Encounters: When you first encounter the Ceph, your advanced Armor Mode will allow you to withstand more damage. Don't be afraid to engage them directly with powerful weapons like the Typhoon, which you'll likely have access to early if you unlocked it previously.
  • Chapter 2: Welcome to the Jungle:
    • Predator Bow Mastery: If you've mastered the Predator Bow, this chapter is your playground. Use the various arrow types (Explosive, Electric, Super-thermite) to clear out groups of enemies or take down Stalkers with ease. The "Carbon Fiber Arrows" upgrade makes silent kills even more effective.
    • Side Objectives: Take the time to complete all optional objectives. With your superior gear, these often provide valuable intel or weapon caches that can further bolster your arsenal. For example, disabling the CELL turrets in the central area is much simpler with a fully upgraded Nanosuit.

Mid to Late Game (Chapters 4-7)

Even with your upgrades, the later chapters present significant challenges. Focus on optimizing your loadout and exploiting enemy weaknesses.

  • Chapter 4: Safeties Off:
    • Anti-Ceph Tactics: The Ceph Stalkers and Pouncers become more prevalent. Use your "Threat Tagging" module to keep track of their movements. The SCARAB with armor-piercing rounds is highly effective against these agile foes.
    • Environmental Exploitation: Remember to use the environment to your advantage. Exploding barrels, collapsing structures, and even water hazards can be turned into weapons with your advanced abilities.
  • Chapter 5: Red Star Rising:
    • Ceph Devastators: These heavy units require sustained fire. The Typhoon or a fully modded K-Volt are excellent choices. Consider using the "Weapon Pro" Nanosuit module to further enhance your weapon performance.

  • Chapter 7: Gods and Monsters:
    • Final Confrontation: For the final battle, ensure your Nanosuit is fully optimized for both offense and defense. The "Energy Transfer" module can be a lifesaver, converting health into energy for critical Cloak or Armor bursts.
