Cuphead and Mugman are tasked by The Legendary Chalice to travel to a far-off isle.

In the astral plane, The Legendary Chalice offers Mugman a cookie, causing them to switch places. She becomes Ms. Chalice, and he becomes her ghost form.

Ms. Chalice leads Cuphead and Mugman to Chef Saltbaker, a seemingly friendly baker, to create the Wondertart, which is intended to permanently bring Ms. Chalice back to life.

The trio embarks on a quest across Inkwell Isle, battling five bosses to collect the five ingredients for the Wondertart.

Upon collecting all ingredients, they return to the bakery to find Chef Saltbaker missing. A hidden door reveals a cellar.

In the cellar, Saltbaker reveals he was using them for his own benefit and that the Wondertart requires a literal soul. He has kidnapped one of their friends.

Saltbaker attempts to defeat the protagonists, but they beat him into submission. Their friend is freed.

If Ms. Chalice was the player character, she and Cuphead/Mugman swap places again. The bakery collapses, but the protagonists and Saltbaker escape.

Saltbaker mourns his loss. Ms. Chalice accepts her fate, valuing her new friends over the Wondertart.

In the epilogue, Saltbaker is arrested, serves community service, and eventually reopens his bakery, making pastries for everyone.

Tips

Ms. Chalice is a new playable character with unique abilities like double jumps, parry dashes, and an invincible roll.
The DLC introduces new weapons and charms to aid in battles.
New bosses include Glumstone The Giant, Moonshine Mob, Mortimer Freeze, Esther Winchester, The Howling Aces, Chef Saltbaker, and the secret bosses Angel and Demon.
The new island is Inkwell Isle Four.
