Angel Locations & Strategy

Learn to counter the Angel's light beam attacks in Dark Souls III: The Ringed City and defeat the Judicator that empowers them.

Throughout The Ringed City DLC, you will encounter "Angels," ethereal beings that are a significant threat. These entities are often found in elevated positions and can unleash devastating ranged attacks. Their primary attack involves firing beams of light that track the player. Some Angels can also summon smaller, flying enemies.

Strategy for dealing with Angels involves careful positioning and ranged attacks if possible. Often, the best approach is to use cover to avoid their beams and then close the distance to attack them directly. However, some Angels are protected by other enemies or are in inaccessible locations. In these cases, you may need to destroy specific environmental objects or defeat certain enemies that are tethered to the Angel's existence. For instance, some Angels are linked to the Judicator, a boss-like enemy that empowers them. Destroying the Judicator will weaken or disable the Angels it supports.

Angel Encounters:

  • Ranged Attacks: Be aware of their tracking light beams and use cover.
  • Environmental Interaction: Some Angels can be defeated by destroying related objects or enemies.
  • Judicator Link: The Judicator boss empowers Angels; defeating it is key.
  • Prioritize Threats: Sometimes, it's better to deal with other enemies first before engaging an Angel.

The presence of Angels often dictates the flow of combat, forcing players to be more strategic about their movement and engagement.
