The Path to the Endings
To reach the game's conclusion, you must defeat all five Archdemons and gather their souls. After this, you will return to the Nexus and be presented with the opportunity to confront the Old One.
Ending 1: The Slayer of Demons (Good Ending)
- Requirements: After defeating the final boss of World 1 (The False King Allant), you will be presented with a choice. If you choose to refuse the Old One's power and instead choose to slay it, you will achieve this ending.
- Narrative: By refusing the Old One's embrace, you sever its connection to the world and break the cycle of corruption. The colorless fog dissipates, and the world is freed from the demons' influence. You are hailed as the Slayer of Demons, having saved Boletaria and potentially the world from eternal darkness.
Ending 2: The Demon of the Old One (Bad Ending)
- Requirements: After defeating the final boss of World 1 (The False King Allant), you will be presented with a choice. If you choose to embrace the Old One's power, you will achieve this ending.
- Narrative: By accepting the Old One's power, you become its successor, a new demon destined to rule over the corrupted world. You are consumed by the Old One's essence, perpetuating the cycle of darkness and despair. The fog remains, and Boletaria continues its descent into ruin, now under your demonic re.
New Game+ and Endings
After witnessing either ending, you will have the option to begin New Game Plus (NG+). Your choice of ending does not prevent you from starting NG+. You will retain your character's levels, equipment, and Souls, but the world will reset with increased difficulty.
