New Game+ (NG+) Explained
Upon completing Demon's Souls, you will have the option to begin New Game Plus (NG+). This mode allows you to restart the game with your current character, retaining all your levels, stats, and most of your equipment. However, the world and its inhabitants will be significantly more challenging.
NG+ is designed for players who have mastered the game's mechanics and are seeking a greater challenge. Enemies hit harder, have more health, and new enemy placements can surprise even seasoned players. It's an opportunity to experience the game again with a different build or to collect any missed items and trophies.
What Changes in NG+:
- Increased Difficulty: Enemies are stronger and more resilient.
- New Enemy Placements: Some enemies are moved to new, often more dangerous, locations.
- Bosses: Bosses are tougher and may have slightly altered attack patterns.
- Item Carryover: You retain your levels, stats, weapons, armor, and most consumables. Key story items and quest-related items may be reset.
- World Tendency: World Tendency carries over, allowing you to access Pure White or Pure Black World Tendency events from the start if you achieved them previously.
NG+ offers a fresh, albeit more punishing, experience for those who wish to continue their journey in the world of Demon's Souls.
