New Game+ Explained
Once you have successfully conquered the challenges of Demon's Souls and witnessed the ending, the journey is not necessarily over. New Game Plus (NG+) allows you to embark on a second playthrough with your existing character, retaining your accumulated levels and equipment, but facing a significantly increased challenge.
NG+ is designed for players who have mastered the core mechanics and are seeking to test their skills further. Enemies are tougher, deal more damage, and new enemy placements can catch even experienced players off guard. It's the perfect opportunity to explore different builds, collect missed items, or achieve platinum.
Key Changes in NG+:
- Increased Enemy Difficulty: All enemies and bosses have higher health and deal more damage.
- New Enemy Placements: Some enemies are relocated to more challenging positions, requiring new strategies.
- Item Carryover: Your character's level, stats, weapons, armor, and most consumables are retained. Key story items are typically reset.
- World Tendency: Your World Tendency progress carries over, allowing you to access Pure White or Pure Black World Tendency events from the start if achieved in the previous playthrough.
- Bosses: Bosses are more formidable and may have slightly altered attack patterns.
