World Tendency significantly impacts events and accessible areas in Demon's Souls. Achieving Pure White or Pure Black World Tendency unlocks specific paths, encounters, and items. These changes persist once triggered, even if World Tendency shifts again later.

In the Gates of Boletaria, near the starting point, a locked door on the left requires either Pure White or Pure Black World Tendency to open. Once unlocked, it remains open permanently. Behind this door, a Crystal Lizard can be found.

• Pure White World Tendency Events:
  • Gates of Boletaria: Executioner Miralda appears in Body Form, hiding inside the stairwell building to the right. Defeating her allows access to a body in the stairwell building, which can be looted for x1 Ring of Poison Resistance.
  • Fractured Mode: Pure White World Tendency reveals Ceramic Coins locations.
• Pure Black World Tendency Events:
  • Gates of Boletaria: Black Phantom Executioner Miralda appears. Defeating her drops the Guillotine Axe.
