Certain bosses and encounters are only accessible under specific World or Character Tendency conditions.

These special encounters often represent the pinnacle of a world's challenge or offer unique rewards. Players must manipulate Tendency through their actions, such as defeating bosses, dying, or killing NPCs, to trigger these events. This adds a layer of replayability and strategic depth to the game.

Pure White World Tendency Encounters

Achieving Pure White World Tendency in a specific world can unlock new pathways and sometimes even unique boss encounters or enemy types.

Dragon Bone Smasher: In Stonefang Tunnel (World 2), achieving Pure White World Tendency opens a path to the Dragon Bone Smasher weapon, guarded by a powerful knight.
Blue Dragon: While not a boss, a Blue Dragon appears in The Lord's Path (World 1-2) under Pure White World Tendency, offering a challenging optional fight.

Pure Black World Tendency Encounters

Old Monk: In the Tower of Latria (World 3), under Pure Black World Tendency, the Old Monk boss fight can become a PvP invasion scenario, where you fight against another player's character.
Garl Vinland (Black Phantom): In the Valley of Defilement (World 5), under Pure Black World Tendency, Garl Vinland's sister, Astraea, is accompanied by a Black Phantom version of Garl Vinland, a formidable opponent.

Character Tendency Related Events

While World Tendency directly affects the world, Character Tendency can influence certain interactions and the availability of specific items or NPCs.

Monumental's Reaction: Your Character Tendency influences how the Monumental perceives you, which can affect certain dialogue and potential rewards.
NPC Interactions: Certain NPCs might react differently or become hostile based on your Character Tendency.

Manipulating Tendency

To trigger these events, players must actively manipulate Tendency:

Shift to White: Defeat bosses, defeat invaders in your world, die in the Nexus.
Shift to Black: Die in a world (especially in body form), kill NPCs, commit suicide in a world.
