Vault of Glass Raid Guide
The Vault of Glass, a legendary raid returning in the 2026 Expansion, demands a deep understanding of its intricate mechanics and a highly coordinated fireteam. The opening encounter, the "Gatekeeper," requires Guardians to defend three Vex portals from waves of Vex forces while simultaneously activating them in a specific order. The Vex Gatekeepers themselves are formidable, wielding powerful fusion rifles and the ability to summon Hobgoblins. A well-coordinated team will ass roles: two Guardians to defend the left portal, two to the right, and two to the center. The key is to maintain portal control and prevent the Vex from overwhelming any single point. The Titan's Ward of Dawn is invaluable for providing defensive cover during intense Vex assaults.
The "Oracles" encounter tests a fireteam's memory and communication. Guardians must destroy a sequence of Oracles that appear in specific locations within the Vault. The sequence is randomized for each team and each phase, requiring precise callouts. Failure to destroy an Oracle within its allotted time results in a wipe. The Vex Templars are a constant threat during this phase, so it's crucial to have designated Guardians to handle them while the rest focus on the Oracles. The Warlock's Nova Bomb can be effective for clearing out multiple Oracles if they appear in close proximity. Pay close attention to the visual and auditory cues of the Oracles to ensure accurate callouts.
The "Confluxes" encounter involves defending three Vex Confluxes from waves of Vex enemies. Guardians must prevent the Vex from sacrificing themselves to the Confluxes, which will eventually lead to a wipe. The Vex Hobgoblins and Minotaurs are particularly dangerous here, with their high damage output. A Hunter's Shadowshot can be used to suppress large groups of enemies, allowing your team to focus on preventing sacrifices. The final boss of the Vault of Glass is the "Atheon, Time's Conflux." This encounter involves complex time-travel mechanics, requiring Guardians to be teleported to different timelines to disable Oracles and defeat Atheon. Clear communication and precise execution of the teleportation mechanics are paramount for success. The use of Supers like the Titan's Thundercrash during Atheon's damage phases can significantly speed up the encounter.
