Armor Slots:

  • Helmet: Provides Intellect, Discipline, and Recovery.
  • Gauntlets: Provides Mobility, Resilience, and Strength.
  • Chest Armor: Provides Resilience, Recovery, and Discipline.
  • Leg Armor: Provides Mobility, Resilience, and Strength.
  • Class Item: Provides Mobility, Resilience, and Recovery (no intrinsic stats, but can be modded).

Core Stats:

  • Mobility: Increases movement speed and initial jump height. (Primary for Hunters)
  • Resilience: Increases shield health and reduces flinch. (Primary for Titans)
  • Recovery: Increases the speed at which your health and shields regenerate. (Primary for Warlocks)
  • Discipline: Decreases grenade cooldown.
  • Intellect: Decreases Super cooldown.
  • Strength: Decreases melee ability cooldown.

Each armor piece comes with a random distribution of these stats. You'll want to find armor with high 'spikes' in the stats most important to your class and build. Armor also has an 'Energy Type' (Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis) which determines which mods can be slotted into it. Masterworking armor increases its energy capacity and provides a +2 bonus to all stats.
