Key Items

Key items are unique, non-consumable items that are essential for progressing the story, unlocking new areas, or completing specific quests. They cannot be sold or discarded. You'll acquire many key items throughout your journey, often by talking to NPCs, defeating bosses, or solving puzzles.

Important Key Items:

• Iron Safe: Acquired in Chapter 3 by Torneko. Allows you to keep half your gold upon defeat. Absolutely essential for gold management.
• Magic Key: Unlocks blue doors found throughout the world. Opens up many new areas and treasure chests.
• Final Key: Unlocks red doors, which are typically found in late-game dungeons and contain powerful treasures.
• Balloon: A flying vehicle that allows you to travel over mountains and water, accessing new continents and hidden locations.
• Zenithian Sword/Shield/Armor/Helmet: While also equipment, these are key items for the Hero's progression and the final battle.
• Sphere of Silence: Used to silence a powerful enemy's magic.
• Gas Canister: Used to power the Balloon.

Always pay attention to dialogue when you receive a key item, as it often provides clues on where and how to use it. Some key items are required to recruit certain party members or to access the final dungeons. Keep track of them in your inventory, as they are vital for completing the game.
