The Treasure Compass is your primary tool for finding hidden treasures. When activated (ZL button), it will point in the general direction of nearby treasure. The closer you get, the more the compass will glow and emit a distinct sound. Once you're very close, you'll be prompted to use 'Treasure Vision' (Y button). This ability allows Erik and Mia to see through the eyes of their monster companions, revealing the exact location of the buried treasure. Different monsters have different 'Treasure Vision' perspectives, which can sometimes offer unique clues. Pay attention to the monster's reactions during Treasure Vision; they might point directly at the spot or show you a specific landmark. Digging up treasure is as simple as pressing the A button once the location is revealed. Remember, not all treasures are buried; some might be hidden in plain sight or require a monster's Forte to reach.
