Gold is essential for purchasing powerful equipment and staying at inns. Early game, focus on defeating Slimes and Red Slimes near Tantegel. As you progress, the best gold farming spots change. Once you can reliably defeat them, Goldmen (found in the Swamp Cave and Dragonlord's Castle) drop a massive 650 Gold per defeat, making them the most lucrative enemies. Another good mid-game option is fighting Ghosts and Skeletons near Garinham, or Warlocks and Knights near Hauksness. Always return to Tantegel to save your accumulated gold, as dying causes you to lose half of it. Consider selling old equipment after upgrading to recoup some of your investment.
