How to Beat The Demolisher

Learn the most effective strategies and tips to defeat the formidable Demolisher enemy in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Master its attack patterns and exploit its weaknesses to survive.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• High Armor: Most of its body is heavily armored, making direct attacks ineffective.
• Weak Points: Exposed sacs on its back and head become vulnerable after certain attacks.
• Explosive Projectiles: Throws explosive canisters and slams the ground, creating AoE damage.
• Melee Attacks: Powerful charging and smashing attacks up close.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Ranged Assault: The Demolisher stays at a distance, lobbing explosives and occasionally charging. Dodge its projectiles and try to flank it.
2. Phase 2: Close Combat: If you get too close, it will use powerful melee attacks. Continue to dodge and look for openings.
3. Phase 3: Vulnerability: After performing a ground slam or a series of attacks, it will pause, exposing its weak points. This is your primary window to deal damage.

Strategy:

• Dodge and Weave: Constantly move to avoid its projectiles and ground slams. Use the environment for cover.
• Target Weak Points: Aim for the glowing sacs on its back and head when they are exposed. Headshots are particularly effective.
• Use Explosives: Molotovs and grenades can deal significant damage, especially if they land on its weak points. Be careful not to get caught in your own explosions.
• Environmental Hazards: Lure the Demolisher near explosive barrels or other environmental traps to deal extra damage.
• Hit and Run: Attack its weak points during its recovery animations and then retreat to avoid its counter-attacks.
• Melee vs. Ranged: While melee can be effective on its weak points, ranged weapons or thrown explosives can offer a safer way to deal damage from a distance.
