Your adventure begins with character creation, where your chosen Class and Keepsake significantly impact early gameplay. After a short cutscene, you'll find yourself in the Stranded Graveyard, equipped with Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears. An optional tutorial area is accessible by jumping to the lower level of the cave.
Character Creation and Initial Items
- Character Creation: Choose your starting Class and Keepsake. These choices influence early gameplay but can be adjusted as you progress.
- Stranded Graveyard: After a cutscene, you'll arrive here.
- Starting Flasks: Automatically receive x3 Flask of Crimson Tears (HP recovery) and x1 Flask of Cerulean Tears (FP recovery).
- Optional Tutorial: A ghostly Commoner indicates an optional tutorial area accessible by jumping to the lower level.
Achievement Considerations
It is possible to earn all trophies/achievements in one playthrough. However, advancing to Leyndell, Ashen Capital without first collecting the Bolt of Gransax will lock you out of the Legendary Armaments achievement for that playthrough, unless another player drops the weapon for you.
NPC Interactions and Quests
- Nepheli Loux: If you don't give her a potion, you can give her the Stormhawk King Ashes. These are found at The Four-Belfries in West Liurnia Lake. Use the single key on the Gate that mentions Anticipation to return to the starting area. Find the ashes around the chapel where you first spawned.
- Ranni's Questline: First encounter Ranni as a spirit. Go through Carian Manor in Northwest Liurnia Lake, then northwest to Ranni's Rise. Talk to Ranni and join her.
