Unique Spirit Ashes
While many Spirit Ashes offer general support, Elden Ring features a selection of truly unique and powerful summons that can dramatically alter the flow of combat. These special Spirit Ashes are often tied to specific questlines or found in challenging locations, offering distinct abilities and impressive power.
Unique Spirit Ashes are distinguished by their specific names, often reflecting their origin or abilities, and their generally higher effectiveness compared to standard summons. They usually have higher FP costs but provide a greater return on investment in terms of damage, utility, or survivability.
Here are some of the most notable and powerful unique Spirit Ashes:
- Mimic Tear Ashes: Arguably the most famous and powerful Spirit Ash. Found in Nokron, Eternal City, after defeating the Mimic Tear boss. This Ash summons a copy of your current character, complete with your equipped gear and spells. This makes it incredibly versatile and potent, as it can adapt to any build. Its FP cost is high, but its effectiveness is unparalleled.
- Black Knife Tiche: Obtained by defeating Alecto, Black Knife Assassin, in the Moonlight Altar region. Tiche is an incredibly agile and aggressive summon that deals high damage and applies a unique debuff that reduces enemy HP regeneration and deals damage over time. She is excellent at distracting bosses and dealing consistent damage.
- Cleanrot Knight Finlay: Found in a chest in the Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Finlay is a resilient summon that can apply Scarlet Rot to enemies, making her invaluable against foes weak to this status effect. She also has good survivability and can hold her own in melee combat.
- Lhutel the Headless: Found in the Tombsward Catacombs in the Weeping Peninsula. Lhutel is a spectral knight that can teleport, making her highly evasive and difficult to pin down. She is excellent at drawing aggro and can deal significant damage with her spectral scythe.
- Oleg the Great: Found in the Auriza Hero's Grave. Oleg is a powerful melee summon with high poise and damage output. He is particularly effective at staggering larger enemies and holding aggro.
- Stormhawk Deenh: Obtained through a quest involving the Stormhawk Talon item, found in Stormveil Castle. This Spirit Ash summons a spectral hawk that can deal ranged damage and has a unique buff that increases your attack power.
