The Blighted lands of Land's End are rife with secrets, and uncovering every hidden passage and secret room is key to fully exploring the world of Ender Lilies. Many of these areas contain valuable relics, powerful spirits, or crucial upgrade materials. Keep a keen eye out for suspicious walls, unusual platforms, and listen for subtle audio cues that might indicate a hidden path.
Verboten Domain: Cell Area Secrets
The Verboten Domain, particularly the cell area, is notorious for its cleverly concealed passages. One specific secret here has stumped many a Knight, but with the right approach, it's easily navigable.
The Upper Cell Passage
There's a seemingly inaccessible room located in the top-right corner of the cell area. Many players attempt to find a hidden drop point or slam through walls, but the solution lies in precise platforming.
- Location: Navigate to the top-middle cell within the Verboten Domain's cell block. This cell will appear empty at first glance.
- Strategy:
- Stand inside the top-middle cell.
- Perform a wall jump off the right wall of this cell.
- As you ascend, you'll need to immediately cling to the right side of a hidden, higher wall that is slightly to the left of your initial wall jump point. This requires precise timing and positioning.
- Once you've successfully clung to this hidden wall, you can then climb up or jump across to access the secret room.
- Reward: This hidden room typically contains valuable items such as a Stained Fungus or Amulet Fragment, essential for enhancing Lily's abilities.
General Exploration Tips for Hidden Areas
- Wall Slamming: While not always the solution, performing a dash or attack into suspicious walls can sometimes reveal a crumbling passage.
- Verticality: Many hidden areas are accessed by looking up or down in unexpected places. Always check above and below platforms, especially after acquiring new movement abilities like the double jump or air dash.
- Map Completion: Pay close attention to your map. If an area appears to have an unrevealed section or a dead end that doesn't quite connect, there's likely a secret passage nearby. The achievement for visiting all maps often requires finding these elusive spots.
- Spirit Abilities: Certain spirits, like the Western Merchant (the bird summon), can sometimes interact with environmental elements in ways that reveal secrets, or allow access to otherwise unreachable ledges. While the Merchant's primary use is for combat, its flight can sometimes hint at elevated pathways.
- Visual Cues: Look for subtle cracks in walls, discolored bricks, or unusual environmental details that break the pattern of the surrounding area. These are often indicators of a destructible or illusionary wall.
