Guide to defeating Enemonzo and Orsino forces in Endless Space 2, including boss battles against Teodore, Aldolfo, and Gino, and capturing key ships like the Impero.

This section details two distinct routes within Endless Space 2, Enemonzo Government and Enemonzo Orsino, each presenting unique challenges and choices. While presented as two options, the narrative ultimately branches into three distinct paths.

Enemonzo Government Route:

This route is considered the easiest, though it offers less desirable characters to recruit, with the exception of the Impero ship. To select this route, capture Lavena. The enemy forces, including Teodore, are generally less imposing than your current fleet, except for Teodore himself.

  • Boss Battle: Teodore
Teodore is the Enemonzo's top commander. He will ambush you, initiating melee combat with 3200 troops. This is not a game over scenario; instead, he depletes your troop numbers to reduce your command gauge. Defeating him makes him recruitable. If you struggle, install sickbay modules to heal crew during battle. His troop numbers do not replenish, making him beatable even without New Game+. Defeating Teodore grants 200 fame.

Tavern Encounters:

  • Uselius: Talk to the bartender and select a chef to gain +2 ship management and 100G.
  • Zevio: For 500G, the bartender offers a gambling game involving choosing between spades, clubs, and hearts. This is purely random.

Lavena:
Lavena is located on the enemy's home planet. If you did not defeat Teodore earlier, he will be present here. Having Mercy Angel equipped can be beneficial for continuous repairs between battles.

Boss Battle: Aldolfo (and potentially Teodore)

This battle has three waves:

  1. Wave 1: A 4-ship fleet, primarily cruisers. If Teodore is alive, he joins this wave with his ship. He is a strong commander who uses barrage frequently. Targeting his ship can end the battle quickly.
  2. Wave 2: Also consists of cruisers.
  3. Wave 3: Aldolfo's fleet. He can use Inciter to boost critical hit chance and launch fighters defensively. Focus on taking out support ships with barrage, fighters, and final roar before engaging the flagship. Aldolfo himself is not particularly tough, and his flagship can be defeated without destroying escorts.

After defeating Aldolfo, Ettore surrenders, and Enemonzo's forces fall under Regeinland's control.

Enemonzo Orsino Route:

Choose "Invade Mezenzana" for this route. This path is considered the most canon, impacting the story more significantly. The enemy primarily focuses on defending their capital.

Tavern Encounters:

  • Claviere: The bartender warns of con artists. An Orsino Employee will attempt to scam you. Refusing to pay Yuri results in -100 fame; paying him costs 1000G.

Mesenzana:

Gino will be panicked and focus on defense. The first two waves are standard encounters. As you approach Gino, he covers the escape of the Impero, the control ship for the ZR.

Boss Battle: Gino
Gino's escort ships are tougher than usual. Use Final Roar to quickly eliminate them. The Zanetti ship can deal damage but is not overly threatening.

Orsino HQ:

Investigate the HQ after Gino's defeat. On the second floor, you'll find 1000G. After checking the basement, obtain a company ID on the second floor, which unlocks the basement. Here, Beltrone reveals the purpose of the Impero and the ZR. You can recruit Beltrone, but this may affect the blueprints you receive.

Tavern (after recruiting Beltrone):
Talk to Beltrone to modify R&D equipment, making it easier for him to use but harder for others, resulting in -100 fame for Yuri.

Proceed to the void gate; failure to do so may result in the ZR firing, leading to a game over.

Boss Battle: Impero
The Impero is a powerful ship with Gino's former escorts. It can launch fighters and withstand significant damage. This fight is an extended version of the battle against Gino. Despite the Impero's loss, Zanetti proceeds with firing the ZR, causing catastrophic destruction.
