Managing your equipment in Enshrouded involves not just acquiring new gear but also knowing when to salvage old items and how to enhance your favorites. Both actions are performed at specific Craftsperson stations.
Salvaging Weapons:
To salvage a weapon, interact with the Blacksmith's Workbench or a similar crafting station. Select the 'Salvage' option, and then choose the weapon you wish to dismantle. Salvaging returns a portion of the materials used to craft or upgrade the item, or generic crafting components if it was a looted item. This is an excellent way to reclaim valuable resources from unwanted gear, especially early on when materials are scarce.
Enhancing Weapons:
Weapon enhancement allows you to improve the stats of your existing weapons, making them more powerful. This process is typically done at the Blacksmith's Forge. Select the 'Enhance' option and choose the weapon you want to upgrade. Enhancement requires specific crafting materials, often including rare ores, gems, or monster parts, as well as a certain amount of Runes. Each enhancement level increases the weapon's damage, durability, and potentially adds new bonus stats. Higher-tier weapons can be enhanced more times, offering significant power boosts. Prioritize enhancing your primary weapons to stay competitive with enemy difficulty.
