Mining is the backbone of EVE's economy, providing raw materials for manufacturing. Start with a basic mining frigate like the Venture, equipped with mining lasers and cargo expanders. Find asteroid belts in high-security systems and begin extracting ore. As you progress, you can upgrade to larger mining barges (Procurer, Retriever, Covetor) and eventually exhumers (Hulk, Mackinaw, Skiff). Industry involves taking these raw materials and manufacturing modules, ships, or ammunition. This requires significant capital, research, and market knowledge, but can be highly profitable.
