Incursions
Incursions represent premier high-end PvE content where Sansha's Nation launches massive invasions into various constellations across New Eden, including High-Sec, Low-Sec, and Null-Sec. These events offer some of the most lucrative ISK-per-hour opportunities in the game, often exceeding 200-300 million ISK hourly when running Vanguard, Assault, or HQ sites. However, success requires highly specialized and expensive battleship hulls—such as the Nightmare, Machariel, or Vindicator—or dedicated Logistics Cruisers like the Scimitar and Oneiros. Participation is strictly gate-kept by organized player-run communities that utilize specific "doctrines" to optimize clear times.
It is a common misconception that you need positive standings with Sansha's Nation; in fact, having high standing with the Sansha can actually be detrimental, as the NPCs may prioritize attacking you for "betraying" their cause. Instead, your primary concern should be your standing with CONCORD. If your security status or CONCORD standing is too low, you risk being targeted by system security. To survive the intense incoming damage of Incursion NPCs, pilots must possess advanced skills in Logistics (Level V is often mandatory for cruisers), Long Range Targeting, and specialized Gunnery or Missile skills to meet the high DPS benchmarks required by Fleet Commanders (FCs).
Joining an established incursion community like "The Vanguard" or "Warp to Me" is essential. These groups provide the necessary infrastructure, including specialized FCs, communication channels, and ship fitting guides. This activity is generally reserved for experienced players with significant capital, as a standard "faction-fit" battleship can easily cost several billion ISK. Beyond ISK, players also earn CONCORD Loyalty Points (LP), which can be traded for valuable blueprints and modules in the LP store, further boosting the profitability of these fleet operations.
