The Gnomes are a mischievous and often annoying collectible in Fable III. There are 50 of these chattering garden ornaments scattered across Albion and Aurora, and they are always accompanied by their distinctive, taunting laughter. Collecting all 50 Gnomes is essential for completing the "Gnome Sweet Gnome" quest and unlocking the "Gnomebody's Fool" Achievement. Each Gnome you destroy also contributes to your Guild Seal count.

To destroy a Gnome, you typically need to shoot it with a ranged weapon (pistol, rifle, or magic spell). Melee attacks are generally ineffective due to their placement. Listen carefully for their cackling laughter; it's your primary clue to their proximity.

Gnome Sweet Gnome Quest

The quest to collect Gnomes begins after you complete the main story quest "Bowerstone Betrayal." Once this quest is done, you'll find a new quest marker in Brightwall Village. Speak to the eccentric Gnome enthusiast, Barnum, near the Brightwall Academy. He will task you with finding his missing Gnomes. As you collect them, return to Barnum to receive rewards, including Guild Seals and gold.

  • Explore Every Nook and Cranny: Don't just stick to the main paths. Venture off into side areas, climb every accessible ladder, and investigate every building.
  • Check Your Map: While the map won't show you exact Gnome locations, it can help you identify areas you haven't fully explored yet.
