But the neon-soaked, synth-wave future of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon still holds plenty of challenges and opportunities for a true hero. Don't power down just yet – there's more to do than just admire your new bionic arm.

Achieving 100% Completion

For the dedicated completionist, reaching 100% in Blood Dragon involves more than just finishing the main story. Here's a breakdown of what you'll need to tackle:

• Main Missions: Complete all 7 story missions. You've already done this if you're reading this section!
• Garrison Liberations: Secure all 13 Garrisons scattered across the island. Each liberation provides a new fast travel point and often unlocks side quests.
• Side Quests: There are 13 unique side quests to undertake, typically unlocked after liberating Garrisons. These range from hunting specific creatures to defusing bombs.
• Collectibles: Hunt down every last hidden item. This is where the real grind begins, but the rewards are worth it.

Collectible Hunt Checklist

There are three main types of collectibles, each offering unique benefits upon completion:

1. TV Sets (32 Total): These retro relics are often found in abandoned buildings, on rooftops, or tucked away in obscure corners of the map. Collecting all TV Sets will unlock the powerful K-8000 Cyber Bow, a silent and deadly weapon perfect for stealth takedowns.
2. VHS Tapes (32 Total): Scattered across the island, these vintage tapes depict various humorous and often bizarre scenarios. Finding all VHS Tapes will reward you with the Fazertron, a unique energy weapon that fires devastating laser blasts.
3. Doctor's Notes (32 Total): These cryptic notes provide additional lore and backstory to the twisted world of Blood Dragon. Collecting all Doctor's Notes will grant you the Bloody Dragon, a powerful shotgun with increased damage and a wider spread.

Strategy for Collectibles:

• Use Your Map: Once you've liberated a Garrison, the surrounding area's collectibles will often be marked on your map with a small icon when you get close enough.
• Explore Thoroughly: Don't just stick to the main paths. Venture off-road, climb structures, and explore every nook and cranny.
• Listen for Clues: Sometimes, a faint hum or electronic static can indicate a collectible's proximity.
• Online Maps: If you're truly stuck, don't be ashamed to consult an online interactive map. There are many community-made resources that pinpoint every collectible location.

Maximizing Your Cyber-Skills

Even after the credits roll, you can continue to earn experience and unlock remaining skills. Engage in the following activities to fully upgrade Rex "Power" Colt:

• Garrison Patrols: After liberating a Garrison, enemy patrols will occasionally attempt to retake it. Defending these Garrisons provides XP and a good opportunity to test your fully upgraded arsenal.
• Hunting Missions: Many side quests involve hunting specific, mutated creatures. These often respawn, allowing for repeated XP gains. Look for the "Hunt" icons on your map.
• Blood Dragon Hunts: The ultimate challenge! Engage the titular Blood Dragons in combat. While dangerous, they offer significant XP and a chance to practice your dragon-slaying techniques. Remember to aim for the glowing weak points and utilize cyber-hearts to distract them.
• Replaying Missions: While not the most efficient for XP, replaying your favorite missions can be a fun way to revisit the story and try out different strategies with your fully powered-up character.

Weapon Mastery and Upgrades

Ensure all your weapons are fully upgraded. Each weapon has several tiers of upgrades, improving damage, accuracy, magazine size, and other attributes. You'll need to spend your collected cash at weapon lockers found in liberated Garrisons.

• Prioritize Favorites: Focus on upgrading the weapons you use most frequently first. The Gallant Rifle, Kobrak-90, and Flamethrower are excellent choices for general combat.
• Specialized Weapons: Don't forget the unique weapons unlocked through collectibles, like the K-8000 Cyber Bow and Fazertron. These often have their own upgrade paths.
• Cash Flow: Liberating Garrisons, completing side quests, and looting enemy bodies are your primary sources of cash for upgrades.
