Post-Game Challenges

Congratulations, Rex Power Colt! You've saved the world (again) and defeated Colonel Sloan. But the neon-soaked future of 2007 isn't quite done with you yet. For the true cyber-commando, the post-game offers a suite of challenges designed to test your skills, maximize your arsenal, and squeeze every last drop of blood, sweat, and synthwave out of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Completing Remaining Side Missions

If you rushed through the main story, there are likely a few side missions still waiting for your attention. These are crucial for unlocking weapon attachments, earning extra cash, and experiencing all the satirical glory Blood Dragon has to offer.

Hostage Situations: These missions, marked by a blue shield icon on your map, involve rescuing scientists from Omega Force patrols. They're excellent for practicing stealth takedowns and precision shooting. Successfully completing these often grants you valuable cash and sometimes even weapon upgrades.
Predator's Path: Marked by a paw print icon, these missions task you with hunting down specific mutated creatures. Be prepared for tough fights, especially against the more advanced variants. Completing these can unlock unique weapon skins or attachments. For instance, hunting the "Cyber-Panther" might reward you with a silencer for your Kobracon.
Garrison Liberations: While you've likely cleared most Garrisons during the main campaign, double-check your map for any remaining red fortress icons. Liberating all Garrisons is essential for full map control and unlocks fast travel points, making subsequent challenges much easier. Each liberated Garrison also provides a steady income stream.

Weapon Collection and Upgrades

To truly dominate the retro-future, you'll want to acquire and fully upgrade every weapon in your arsenal. This involves a combination of finding collectibles, completing specific missions, and spending your hard-earned cash.

Collectibles: Keep an eye out for VHS Tapes, TV Sets, and Doctor's Notes scattered across the island. Collecting all of a certain type often unlocks a powerful weapon or a significant upgrade. For example, finding all VHS Tapes might unlock the "Flamethrower" or a special ammunition type for your Fazertron.
Weapon Attachments: Many attachments, such as extended magazines, scopes, and laser sights, are unlocked by completing side missions or purchasing them from the weapon vendor at liberated Garrisons. Prioritize attachments for your favorite weapons, like a "Red Dot Sight" for your A.J.M. 9 or an "Extended Mag" for the Kobracon.
Signature Weapons: These are unique, highly powerful versions of standard weapons, often with special properties. They are typically unlocked by completing all of a specific type of side mission or by finding all collectibles. For instance, the "Arclight" (a souped-up Kobracon) is a must-have for long-range engagements.

Achieving 100% Completion

For the completionist, the ultimate post-game challenge is to achieve 100% completion. This involves:

Completing all Main Missions: (Already done, but worth noting!)
Liberating all 13 Garrisons: Each one offers a unique tactical challenge.
Completing all 13 Hostage Situations: Test your stealth and precision.
Completing all 13 Predator's Path Missions: Face off against the island's deadliest fauna.
Finding all 32 TV Sets: Often hidden in plain sight or requiring a bit of platforming.

use your map and the in-game legend to track your progress on collectibles and missions. The satisfaction of seeing that "100%" pop up is a reward in itself, proving you are the ultimate cyber-commando.

Experimenting with Combat Tactics

With all weapons and upgrades at your disposal, the post-game is the perfect time to experiment with different combat styles and loadouts. Try out these advanced tactics:

Stealth Master: Equip silenced weapons like the "Kobracon" with a silencer and the "A.J.M. 9" with a silencer. Focus on takedowns and headshots from a distance. Use throwing stars for silent, short-range eliminations.
Explosives Expert: Max out your "Grenade Launcher" and "Molotov" capacity. Combine these with the "Fazertron" for area-of-effect damage. Remember to use the "Explosive Arrows" for your "Bow" to take down vehicles and heavily armored foes.
Blood Dragon Wrangler: Lure Blood Dragons into enemy Garrisons using "Cyber Hearts" to create chaos. This is an incredibly effective and entertaining way to clear out large groups of Omega Force soldiers without firing a shot.
