Walkthrough for Osaka House 1F Back Room in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. Includes details on the Miyako Sudo and Masumi Makimura boss fight, items, and ghost encounters.

Walkthrough: If you haven't obtained the Bloody Ring, the only item of note in this room is the [Alarm] function for your Camera Obscura, which glows when a Fatal Frame opportunity arises during battle. If you have acquired the Bloody Ring, a cutscene will play featuring Masumi Makimura and Miyako Sudo. At the location where they were fighting, you can find the [Bloody Memo] and a bloody [Sard] stone, which can be heard on the Radio. After collecting these items, the ghosts of Masumi and Miyako will attack.

Both Miyako Sudo and Masumi Makimura will attack simultaneously. They share the same attack pattern: wandering through walls and ambushing the player at high speed. Masumi is slightly tougher with higher HP and intelligence. The best approach is to use Zero Shots. Stay alert, as both ghosts can ambush suddenly. Watch the filament on your Camera Obscura; when it glows, quickly determine the direction of the incoming ghost to aim and potentially land a Shutter Chance shot as they attack. With upgraded camera sensitivity and accumulation (Level 2 recommended), each ghost can be defeated with approximately 3 Zero Shots. A faster, though more difficult, strategy involves luring Masumi and Miyako into performing a Double Shot. After defeating one ghost, the remaining one, usually Masumi, will be less challenging. Masumi is particularly adept at repositioning; if you anticipate her movements by watching for visual distortions indicating her presence, you can switch to Finder Mode and land a Zero Shot. This tactic is effective but risky.

After the battle, the only new item obtained is the Bloody Memo, which can be read in the menu. If you linger in the area, you may encounter random ghosts like the Women in Dark.
