The Mushroom Forest is your first true dungeon challenge. The environment is lush but also home to more dangerous creatures. You'll encounter more Goblins, Hornets, and the infamous Malboro. Malboros are recognizable by their large, plant-like appearance and their signature 'Bad Breath' attack, which can inflict Poison, Slow, and Confuse. It's highly recommended to have a character with Esuna or Antidotes ready. The dungeon itself is a series of interconnected clearings. Your objective is to find the boss arena. Along the way, you'll find 'Tiny Bells' and 'Fungus' which are useful crafting materials. The boss of this dungeon is the Mushroom King. He's a large, stationary mushroom that attacks by releasing spores and occasionally stomping. He is weak to Fire magic, so if you have a Yuke or a Clavat with Fire spells, now is the time to use them. Melee characters should focus on his base, dodging his ground pound. After defeating him, a Myrrh drop will appear. Collect it and exit the dungeon to complete the year.
