Equipment & Items Guide
Collecting rare items is crucial for strengthening your party in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. Engage in side quests like the Obel Lake Quest, UFO Quest, and Queen of Cards Quest to acquire valuable gear and components. These quests offer opportunities to earn unique items that can significantly impact your gameplay.

After defeating Ultima Weapon, you receive 100 AP, the Eden Card, and 100x Ultima Stone items. Stealing a Three Stars from Ultima Weapon has a low 3% chance, making it generally more efficient to Card Mod the Squall Card for Three Stars. The Eden GF is typically the last GF acquired in the game.
Fixed encounters with Tri-Face enemies are excellent for farming Curse Spikes. You can Mug up to 8x Curse Spikes from a single Tri-Face (higher levels yield more). Refining 100x Curse Spikes produces Dark Matter, which can then be refined into rare items such as Shaman Stones and Luck-J Scrolls.
