Hidden Areas & Secrets (FFX-2)

Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster features several hidden areas and secrets that contribute to 100% completion and offer valuable rewards. From specific dialogue options to obscure item locations, exploring every nook and cranny is essential for uncovering all the game has to offer.

• Airship:
  • Speak to Brother a second time for the Festivalist DS (INT/HD Only).
  • Ask Shinra about a Garment Grid Tutorial for the Vanguard GG.
  • Find Ether and other items in the Engine Room.
  • Speak to Rikku on the deck to trigger Brother and Buddy's conversation, awarding the final Al Bhed Primer.
  • Hide O'aka on the Airship after the "Follow That O'aka!" mission for the Ice Queen GG.
• Fiend Arena:
  • Complete the Standard Cup for the Psychic DS (INT/HD Only).
  • Complete the Standard Cup three times for the Intrepid GG (INT/HD Only).
  • Beat the Aeon Cup three times for the Peerless GG (INT/HD Only).
• Den of Woe:
  • Obtain Crimson Sphere 9 from Ormi and Logos.
• Youth League Headquarters (YLHQ):
  • The hidden ledge on the east side of the YLHQ holds the Restless Sleep GG.
  • There is a Turbo Ether on your left as you enter the gorge.
• Djose Temple:
  • Gippal gives you a "Letter Of Introduction" and 1 Al Bhed Primer.
• Moonflow:
  • Completing the mission without losing cargo gets you the Gun Mage DS and the Helios Guard GG.
  • Skipping this mission allows you to get the Enterprise ACC later in Chapter 2.
  • Completing the mission without losing cargo but not speaking to Tobli (entering through Djose) allows you to get Minerva's Plate ACC later in Chapter 5.
  • The Key to Success ACC can be obtained by skipping the mission or completing it imperfectly.
• Macalania Woods:
  • Speaking to Tromell Guado 4 times at the Sphere Spring gets the Full Throttle DS and the Unerring Path GG.
  • Speak to the Al Bhed woman in front of the agency before the "Follow That O'aka!" mission begins for an Al Bhed Primer.
  • Absorb and Mighty Guard Blue Bullets can be learned from Haizhe.
  • There is a Turbo Ether on the hidden path above the woods.
• Bikanel Desert:
  • An Al Bhed Primer is automatically gained after your first successful mission completion.
• Farplane:
  • Paine's Sphere is given after Paine and Gippal reunite.
  • Node A, B, and C all have a rare drop chance for Hero Drink.
  • Hero Drink can be stolen from the Final Boss (only times to get this item).
  • Megalixir and two Mega Phoenixes can be found in the final area.
  • Press X to hear whistling in the Farplane Abyss.
  • Answer the Fayth "Yes!" to view the Perfect Ending.
