Final Fantasy XIV incorporates a system of daily and weekly resets that refresh various in-game activities, rewards, and allowances. Understanding these reset timers is crucial for maximizing your efficiency, acquiring endgame currencies, and completing time-sensitive objectives. These resets ensure a consistent flow of content and opportunities for players.

Daily Resets: These occur at a fixed time each day, typically around 3:00 PM GMT (or 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM EST). Daily resets affect the following:

• Daily Roulettes: Completing daily Duty Finder roulettes (like Level 90 Dungeons, Trials, Alliance Raids, etc.) grants bonus experience points and Tomestones upon the first completion each day.
• Daily Hunts: Daily hunt logs for Elite Marks and Allied Seals reset, offering valuable currency for gear and materia.
• Retainer Ventures: Your retainers can be dispatched on new ventures to gather items.
• Challenge Log: Certain entries in the Challenge Log, which offer bonus EXP and gil for completing specific tasks, reset daily.

Weekly Resets: These occur at a fixed time each week, typically coinciding with the daily reset time but on Tuesdays (in most regions). Weekly resets are particularly important for endgame progression:

• Tomestone Caps: The weekly cap on acquiring certain endgame Tomestones (e.g., Tomestones of Causality) resets. You can earn a limited amount per week, so planning your acquisition is key.
• Savage Raid Lockouts: Access to loot from Savage Raids is typically limited to once per week per character. The lockout resets weekly, allowing you to obtain loot again.
• Normal Raid Lockouts: Similar to Savage Raids, loot from Normal Raids (like the 8-player raid series) also has weekly lockouts.
• Treasure Maps: The number of Treasure Maps you can hold is limited, and you gain one per day, up to a maximum. This daily gain resets.
• Weekly Challenge Log: More substantial rewards are often tied to the weekly Challenge Log entries.

Key Reset Times (GMT):

It's essential to be aware of these reset times to optimize your gameplay. For instance, if you're aiming to cap your Tomestones, you'll want to complete your relevant duties early in the week. Similarly, if you're participating in Savage raid progression, coordinating with your static group to clear on reset day is common practice.
