Understanding Stats and Growth Rates
Each character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave possesses a unique set of stats that determine their effectiveness in combat and their overall capabilities. These stats include HP (Hit Points), Strength (physical attack power), Magic (magical attack power), Skill (accuracy and critical hit chance), Speed (determines if you double attack and avoid enemy doubles), Defense (reduces physical damage), Resistance (reduces magical damage), and Luck (affects critical hits, evasion, and other random elements). Understanding what each stat does is crucial for assessing a character's potential and for making informed decisions about their equipment and class.
Beyond their current stats, characters also have "Growth Rates." These are percentages that determine how likely a stat is to increase when a unit levels up. For example, a character with a high Strength growth rate is more likely to gain Strength points when they level up than a character with a low Strength growth rate. These growth rates are fundamental to a character's long-term potential and differentiate them from one another. Some characters might be strong early on but have poor growth rates, while others might start weaker but become powerhouses later in the game. When recruiting new units or developing your existing roster, consider both their current stats and their growth rates to build a well-rounded and powerful army.
