The Upgrade Shop is where you transform your cars into race-winning machines. You can access it from the Horizon Festival Hub or any garage. Upgrades are categorized into several areas:

- Conversion: Engine swaps, drivetrain swaps (e.g., FWD to AWD), aspiration changes. These can drastically alter a car's character and PI.
- Engine: Intake, Fuel System, Ignition, Exhaust, Camshaft, Valves, Displacement, Pistons, Turbo/Supercharger. These primarily boost horsepower and torque.
- Platform and Handling: Brakes, Springs & Dampers, Anti-Roll Bars, Weight Reduction, Chassis Reinforcement. Crucial for improving cornering, braking, and overall agility.
- Drivetrain: Clutch, Transmission, Driveline, Differential. Affects power delivery and acceleration.
- Tires and Rims: Tire Compound (Street, Sport, Race, Drag, Rally, Off-Road), Tire Width, Rim Style/Size. Tires are one of the most impactful upgrades for grip.
- Aero and Appearance: Front Bumper, Rear Wing, Side Skirts. Primarily cosmetic, but some aero parts (like race wings) provide downforce, improving grip at high speeds.
When upgrading, always keep the target class in mind. A common strategy is to prioritize tires and handling upgrades first, then add power until you hit the class limit. Experiment with different combinations to find what works best for each car and event type.
