Rivals Mode is where you truly test your raw driving skill against the best in the world. In this mode, you compete against the ghost car of another player's best lap time on a specific track and car combination.
How Rivals Works:
- Select a Category: Choose from various categories like 'Monthly Rivals', 'Featured Rivals', 'Track Day', or 'Drift'.
- Choose a Track & Car: Some events specify the car, others allow you to use any car within a certain class.
- Beat the Ghost: Your goal is to beat the lap time of the rival ghost car. As you improve, the game will automatically select a faster rival for you.
- Earn Credits & XP: Beating rivals earns you credits and experience points, with larger rewards for significant improvements.
Rivals is an excellent way to improve your lap times and learn optimal racing lines. It's a pure test of skill, as there are no other cars on track to interfere. Focus on consistency and finding those extra tenths of a second. Don't be discouraged if you don't beat a rival immediately; persistence is key.
