Unlike many RPGs, Genshin Impact does not feature traditional character creation. You begin your journey as the Traveler (either Aether or Lumine, chosen at the very start). The Traveler is unique as they can resonate with different Statues of The Seven to change their elemental alignment (Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro). You will quickly acquire other free characters:
- Amber (Pyro, Bow): Your first companion, excellent for puzzles and ranged combat.
- Kaeya (Cryo, Sword): A versatile Cryo character, useful for freezing and exploration.
- Lisa (Electro, Catalyst): An Electro catalyst user, great for area-of-effect damage and elemental reactions.
These characters form your initial party and are perfectly capable of clearing early game content. Focus on understanding their kits and how they interact with each other through elemental reactions.
