Tales of Tsushima encompass a variety of side missions that flesh out the world and characters of Ghost of Tsushima. These quests are categorized by region, such as Izuhara, and include specific narratives like "Whispers in the Woods," offering additional content and challenges for players.

• Whispers in the Woods

Throughout your time liberating Tsushima, you will come across various quests. Beyond the main story, there are tales for each supporting character (Yuna, Masako, and so on), one-off NPC missions, and seven Mythical Tales. These quests are given by musicians around the island and unlock either a Mythical ability or a special piece of armor. They often conclude with boss battles.

There are three Mythic Tales available to complete in Act 1, which unlock gradually as you complete central Story quests. Jin's initial quests after the Prologue serve as tutorials, teaching combat and providing Technique points. It is recommended to explore a bit before tackling these specific quests, but do not delay too long, especially with "The Heavenly Strike," as it unlocks a very useful ability.

"The Curse of Uchitsune" is the second painting-driven Mythic Tale, initiated by speaking to Yamoto at Hiyoshi Springs. He directs you to a large stretch of coast to find blue flowers. Their location is in the middle of this area and easy to find. The final search area for this tale has a large area circled on the map, but the trail of flowers starts just to the left of the center. Follow the flowers up the hill and through rock formations to find the Longbow on the altar. Take it, fight a Tengu Demon, and the bow is yours.
