Post-Game Content

Congratulations, samurai! You've repelled the Mongol invasion and brought peace back to Tsushima. But Jin Sakai's journey doesn't have to end there. The island still holds many secrets, challenges, and opportunities for a true warrior. This comprehensive guide will walk you through maximizing your post-game experience, from completing lingering tasks to diving into new game modes.

Completing Unfinished Business

Even after the credits roll, Tsushima remains a vibrant world with plenty to explore. Use this checklist to ensure you've experienced everything the island has to offer:

  • Unfinished Tales: Check your journal for any remaining side quests (Tales of Tsushima) or Mythic Tales. These often reward powerful gear, unique abilities, or crucial skill points. Pay particular attention to Mythic Tales like "The Undying Flame" for the Way of the Flame combat art or "The Six Blades of Kojiro" for the Kensei Armor set.
  • Liberate All Occupied Territories: While the main story focuses on key strongholds, many smaller Mongol camps and outposts may still be under enemy control. Clearing these will not only grant you resources and experience but also contribute to the liberation of Tsushima, often revealing new points of interest on your map.
  • Collectibles and Vanity Gear: Tsushima is brimming with collectibles. Dedicate time to finding all:
    • Sashimono Banners: Found in various locations, these can be exchanged at the Pillar of Honor for new sword kits.
    • Mongol Artifacts: Offer insights into Mongol culture and can be viewed in your Collections tab.
    • Records: Provide lore and background on the island and its inhabitants.
    • Crickets: Found in cages, these unlock new flute songs that can change the weather.
    • Hot Springs: Increase your maximum health. Don't miss the Hot Spring in Izuhara for an early health boost.
    • Haunted Altars: Offer a moment of reflection and sometimes a unique vanity item.
    • Lighthouses: Relighting these offers a sense of accomplishment and often reveals nearby points of interest.
  • Bamboo Strikes: Hone your reflexes and increase your Resolve by completing all Bamboo Strikes across the three regions: Izuhara, Toyotama, and Kamiagata. Each successful strike adds a segment to your Resolve meter.
  • Fox Dens and Inari Shrines: Follow the guiding foxes to hidden Inari Shrines. Praying at these shrines will increase your charm slots, allowing you to equip more powerful Charms.
  • Shinto Shrines: These challenging platforming sections often reward you with powerful Charms. Ensure you've scaled every one.

Maximizing Your Build

With all skills unlocked and most gear acquired, post-game is the perfect time to fine-tune your preferred playstyle. Experiment with different combinations of armor, charms, and techniques.

Armor Sets and Charms

Consider these powerful combinations for various playstyles:

  • Ghost Playstyle (Stealth & Assassination):
    • Armor: Ghost Armor (increased Resolve gains, reduced enemy detection, terror chance) or Ronin Attire (increased stealth and melee damage).
    • Charms:
      • Charm of Silence (significantly reduces enemy detection speed, increases Resolve gains).
      • Charm of Hidden Blades (throw additional Kunai).
      • Charm of Fortune (increases the chance of secondary perks on charms).
  • Samurai Playstyle (Direct Combat & Duels):
    • Armor: Sakai Clan Armor (increased melee damage, stagger damage, and health) or Gosaku's Armor (massive stagger damage, health regeneration on stagger).
    • Charms:
      • Charm of Ferocity (increases melee damage).
      • Charm of Blazing Flame (chance to ignite enemies on perfect parry).
      • Charm of Mizunokami (increases parry and perfect parry windows).

Technique Points

If you still have unspent Technique Points, prioritize unlocking any remaining Ghost Weapons, Stances, or Evasion techniques that complement your chosen playstyle. The Ghost Weapons tree offers powerful crowd control and assassination tools, while mastering all Stances makes you adaptable to any enemy type.
