Affixes are the magical properties on Magic and Rare items, providing bonuses to stats, damage, and resistances. Understanding damage types is crucial: Physical, Pierce, Bleed, Fire, Cold, Lightning, Aether, Chaos, Vitality, Poison/Acid. Most builds focus on 1-2 primary damage types and stack modifiers for them. Prioritize resistances on all gear slots, especially for the damage types you're most vulnerable to. Look for affixes that boost your primary damage type, Offensive Ability (OA), Defensive Ability (DA), and resistances.
