Your first steps in GTFO's A1: First Contact expedition. Learn how to gather Personnel IDs, navigate zones, and survive the threats within.
Alright, welcome to GTFO! This first expedition, A1: First Contact (also known as PID Search), is where you'll get your feet wet with the 'Gather Items' objective. Don't worry, it's designed to ease you in, but don't get too comfortable – things get wild fast in GTFO. Your main goal here is to find 12 Personnel IDs scattered across a few different zones. You don't need to explore every single nook and cranny, which is a nice bit of breathing room.
- 1Objective: Find 12 Personnel IDs.
- 2Zone Options: You have a few paths to choose from, and you don't need to hit them all.
- 3Option 1 (Recommended for safety): Hit Zones 43, 44, and 45.
- 4Start with Zone 43. This one triggers a Class II Alarm, so be ready for a fight. Grab the PIDs here. You'll also find a Colored Key in this zone. Don't miss it!
- 5Next, push into Zone 44. This one's a Class III Alarm zone, so expect tougher enemies. Collect the PIDs.
- 6Finally, clear out Zone 45. Another Class III Alarm zone, so brace yourselves. Grab the remaining PIDs.
- 7Option 2 (Quicker, but riskier): Hit Zones 41 and 42.
- 8Head into Zone 41 and grab the PIDs. Keep an eye out, as this zone has a Scout.
- 9Move on to Zone 42 and collect the PIDs. This zone also contains a Scout.
- 10Option 3 (Requires the Colored Key): Hit Zones 39 and 40.
- 11To access these zones, you'll need the Colored Key you can find in Zone 43.
- 12Enter Zone 39 and collect the PIDs. Be warned: this zone is packed with Giants and Big Shooters.
- 13Proceed to Zone 40 and grab the PIDs. This zone also has a heavy presence of Giants and Big Shooters.
- 14Extraction: Once you've collected at least 12 Personnel IDs, make your way back to the starting point and extract.
- The Colored Key from Zone 43 is crucial if you plan on accessing Zones 39 and 40. Make sure you grab it!
- Zones 39 and 40 are absolute death traps if you're not prepared. They're loaded with Giants and Big Shooters. If you're struggling, it's usually better to avoid them and focus on other zones.
- Zones 41 and 42 have Scouts. These enemies can alert the horde, so prioritize taking them out quietly if possible.
- Don't forget to check the resource distribution table below! Knowing where the ammo, health, and tools are can make a huge difference.
