As your settlement in Havendock begins to take shape and your survivor count potentially increases, you will quickly realize the limitations of your initial raft. To accommodate more structures, storage, and the general needs of a growing community, expanding your base is not just beneficial, but essential. This objective focuses on increasing your usable space by adding new platform tiles to your existing raft. To begin this expansion, open your crafting menu, typically accessed by pressing 'C', and navigate to the 'Structures' tab. Here, you will find the 'Wood Platform' option.
Each 'Wood Platform' tile requires 2x Logs to craft. Logs are a fundamental resource in Havendock, readily available from floating debris and any trees you may have harvested. You will need to craft a total of at least 5 new platform tiles to fulfill this objective. Once crafted, you can place these new tiles adjacent to your existing raft. plan your expansion strategically, considering future building needs and potential access points. Building outwards in a logical manner will prevent you from creating awkward layouts or blocking off future development opportunities. This expansion provides you with significantly more surface area to work with.
The increased space afforded by these 5 new platform tiles is crucial.
