Corrupted Wood Knight Strategy
The Corrupted Wood Knight is a swift and aggressive enemy that often appears in corrupted forest areas. It's characterized by its rapid melee attacks and its ability to charge at Kena. Unlike the Stone Guardian, the Wood Knight is much faster, requiring quicker reflexes and more precise dodging. Its attacks often come in quick combos, so be prepared to dodge multiple times in succession. The Rot's abilities are particularly useful against the Wood Knight, as they can interrupt its aggressive onslaught or create openings for Kena to counter-attack. Look for opportunities to use the Rot's shield ability to block its charges or its stun ability to briefly incapacitate it.
When facing the Corrupted Wood Knight, your primary focus should be on evasion and finding opportune moments to strike. Its charges can be dodged by sidestepping at the last second, and its melee combos can be avoided by rolling away. After it completes a flurry of attacks, there will be a brief pause where you can land a few quick hits with your staff. If you have unlocked the ability to command the Rot to perform a focused attack, use it when the Wood Knight is recovering from a charge or a heavy combo. This can stagger it, allowing you to deal significant damage. Parrying is also a viable strategy, but it requires precise timing due to its speed. Successfully parrying can leave it vulnerable for a short period, enabling Kena to unleash a powerful counter-attack. Prioritize staying mobile and don't get greedy with your attacks.
