Basic Controls & Interface
Navigating the world of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC is straightforward, whether you're playing on PC or PSP. On PC, movement is typically handled with the W, A, S, D keys, allowing for intuitive exploration of towns, dungeons, and the overworld. The mouse can be used to interact with objects and characters, and to navigate menus. The Enter key often confirms selections, while Esc typically opens the main menu or cancels actions.
On the PSP, movement is controlled using the Analog Stick, offering smooth 360-degree control. The D-pad can also be used for directional input. The X button is generally used to confirm selections and interact with the environment, while the Circle button is used to cancel or open the menu. The Square button often brings up context-sensitive actions or information.
The User Interface (UI) is designed to be informative without being overwhelming. The main screen displays your current party members, their HP and EP, and the current time of day. The main menu, accessible via the Esc key on PC or the Circle button on PSP, provides access to your inventory, character status, quartz setup, Bracer Notebook (for quests), battle recipes, and system settings. Within menus, the L and R buttons on PSP, or Page Up/Page Down on PC, are often used to switch between different tabs or character screens.
Combat UI is equally clear. You'll see your party's turn order on the right side of the screen, along with enemy HP bars. During your turn, you'll select actions like Attack, Arts, Crafts, Defend, Items, or Flee. The available Arts and Crafts are displayed in separate menus, along with their EP cost and targeting information. Understanding these basic controls and UI elements will allow you to immerse yourself fully in the rich world and engaging gameplay of Trails in the Sky SC.
