The Battle Dungeons are a recurring and increasingly challenging aspect of Like a Dragon: Ishin!, offering valuable rewards and testing your combat mastery. Approaching these dungeons with a solid strategy and knowledge of common enemy types is key to success.
General Battle Dungeon Strategy
Before entering a Battle Dungeon, ensure you are well-prepared. This includes:
- Stocking up on healing items: Carry a generous supply of Medicine, Strong Medicine, and potentially valuable items like Udon or Soba for larger health recovery.
- Equipping appropriate gear: Ensure your weapons and armor are upgraded as much as possible.
- Selecting the right combat style: Different styles excel against different enemy types. The Swordsman style is generally good for single targets, while the Brawler style can handle groups effectively. The Wild Dancer offers a good balance.
- Utilizing Trooper Cards: Have a squad ready that complements your chosen style and the expected enemy types. Cards that provide buffs or debuffs can be incredibly useful.
During a Battle Dungeon, prioritize managing your health and stamina. Don't be afraid to use Heat Actions liberally, as they can clear out groups of enemies quickly and deal sificant damage. If you find yourself overwhelmed, consider retreating to a safe area to heal and regroup.
