Game Modes Overview
  • Challenge Mode: The core single-player experience. Progress through a series of skins (levels) with increasing difficulty and changing music. The goal is to survive as long as possible and achieve a high score. This is where most players will spend their time.
  • Skin Edit Mode: Unlock and customize your own playlist of skins. This allows you to create a personalized Lumines experience, choosing your favorite music and visuals. Skins are unlocked by playing Challenge Mode.
  • Time Attack Mode: Race against the clock to clear as many blocks as possible within a set time limit (e.g., 60, 180, 300 seconds). Focus on speed and efficiency to maximize your score.
  • Puzzle Mode: Solve pre-designed puzzles by clearing specific shapes or patterns. This mode tests your strategic thinking and block manipulation skills. Each puzzle has a unique solution.
  • Mission Mode: Complete specific objectives, such as clearing a certain number of blocks or achieving a specific chain length, under various constraints. This mode offers bite-sized challenges.
  • VS CPU Mode: Compete against an AI opponent. Clear blocks on your side to send 'garbage' blocks to your opponent's field, trying to overwhelm them.
  • VS 2P Mode: Local multiplayer where two players compete head-to-head on a split screen. The objective is similar to VS CPU, but against a human opponent.

Each mode offers a different way to enjoy the addictive gameplay of Lumines Remastered.
